Creating flexibility in your space is critical for the short term and the long term success of the environment. When thinking about short term verse long term use of the space, you want to try and strike a balance between mobility and adaptability (change ability). To help understand this there are two vital questions you want to ask yourself before you start thinking about what product you want.
1. How often will the space be rearranged?
2. Who is going to be allowed to move the product in the space.
Short Term Flexibility: If you are going to rearrange the space often and let people move the product you will want product be easy to move which means the product will most like need to be on wheels.
Long Term Flexibility: If you want to have more control over the space or are going to be moving product less than very 6 months, but still want to be able to adapt to needs in the future you will want to limit the use of wheels, but you want to keep the product in smaller or individual configurations.
