Support Community College Students Between Classes

Scottsdale Community College provides comfortable lounge space

AGATI partners with community colleges to design student-centered spaces that support life between classes. We work together to deliver furniture solutions that enhance student experience, increase campus engagement, and improve retention. We worked with Scottsdale Community College to create a lounge with Gee Lounge Chairs so students have a place to regroup on campus.

At one community college, a student joked about wanting a zipline between buildings. What he really needed was a comfortable place to land between classes. Delivering furniture solutions that give students a place to study, socialize and recharge -keeps them on campus between classes.

Privacy, Power & a Place to Belong

LA Valley Community College provides students with Study Pods

Students need a range of experiences within the same space — quiet focus zones for solo study, collaborative areas for group work, and comfortable spots to recharge between classes. Power access is consistently the #1 student request on campus surveys. And for many community college students who lack reliable internet or devices at home, the library isn’t just a study space — it’s a lifeline.

PODs create acoustic cocoons for concentration within open floor plans. Each POD has its own tabletop power source for students to plug in laptops and phones. Providing students with PODs gives them their own personal space with everything they need for studying or online classes.
